Super FTS Tuesday!

So it's usually Wednesday when the good stories from around the NHL come out. But, boy oh boy, did I have to do some work deciding on which articles to link today.

What's wrong with this picture?? Look hard!

How about those Carolina Hurricanes loosing to a KHL team this morning. I heard the Hurricane players were using excuses like:
1) It's too cold here
2) We dressed our 3rd string goalie
3) We're in this whole other country
4) We generally suck at the best of times....
5) We got nervous playing in front of a crowd...

So lame... Anyhow, the Russians actually have a lead in the all-time series of NHL teams versus Russia Domestic teams. Which I found surprising.

On to today's FTS.... and stay tuned for what was up with today's picture if you haven't figured it out already. Also below is one of the craziest shoot-out goals I have ever seen!

Links after the jump!

Bill Guerin didn't make the cut - And apparently he only has himself to blame..

Tampa Bay Preview - I still think that they make the playoffs... YOU'LL SEE!

Cammalleri Suspended for the season opener  - I bet Montreal is glad they didn't name this guy captain.

Which Network will host the NHL in the future - An article on the business side of hockey.

The NHL's officials association has reached a new deal - It's amazing, this one slipped through my web net. The NHL was actually dangerously close to NOT having qualified NHL referees to begin the season. Could you imagine? Well at least danger has been avoided. I don't like the use of the word "tentative" in this article....

Vancouver: Talent meets $$$ - What will the club do?

And now for this gem of a shootout goal!

And from the photo above:
Hershey and Bridgeport both came out wearing white sweaters, the Bears with chocolate-colored sleeves and the Sound Tigers with blue sleeves. Numbers only on back, no names. To start the second, Bridgeport was wearing its blue practice sweaters, which had no names or numbers
Gees! I thought these kind of things only happened in the AIHL.
